iPIPE and Satelytics in the Headlines . . . Again
Toledo, OH – March 27, 2020. The energy industry and the State of North Dakota are again being put on a pedestal as an example of a successful public-private partnership. North Dakota producers, pipeline, and midstream companies, have come together to pool resources to test new and emerging technologies for leak prevention and detection through the iPIPE consortium. The consortium is also funded in part by the North Dakota Industrial Commission on behalf of Governor Burgum who has pressed companies to innovate to combat spills in the Bakken.
Satelytics is proud to have been chosen three consecutive years to demonstrate and build up our geo-spatial analytics platform that alerts customers to potential hydrocarbon or produced water leaks over the Bakken on a weekly basis. Alerts are sent to iPIPE members in a matter of hours after imagery is captured by satellite operator Airbus. iPIPE’s newest member Energy Transfer Partners, operator of the Dakota Access Pipeline, has embraced the consortium and the team at Satelytics is thankful for this new partnership!
Satelytics Inc., www.satelytics.com is a cloud-based geospatial analytics software suite. Multi or hyper-spectral imagery is gathered from satellites, UAV, planes, and fixed cameras, and processed to provide both alerts and qualitative results for our customers. Data can be gathered on up to a daily basis and results sent to customers in hours. This includes the specific problem, location, magnitude, and even qualitative information, which minimize cost, impact, and operational disruption for our clients.
