The Spring Melt Is On! What Runoff Problems Does That Cause in Your Watershed?

Toledo, OH – March 11, 2020. As the temperature climbs snow melt is in full swing and that means run off into watersheds. Run off can bring heavy sediment loadings to lakes via tributaries and rivers. Nutrients transported in sediment affect the natural habitat and set the stage for increased algal growth as water temperatures rise and sunlight provides necessary energy for plant growth.

Satelytics can measure in PPM-PPT sediment loading, subaquatic vegetation, phosphorus, chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, and other constituents, to help you pinpoint where your watershed is threatened! All data can be downloaded directly to your API or a spreadsheet including latitude and longitude of the exact measurement location.
