Business Development Manager
Satelytics is seeking self-driven, highly motivated, and personable individuals to expand our Sales Team, helping us define a new market, applying geospatial analytics to a wide variety of energy industry challenges.
Each member of the Sales Team is assigned target accounts across our industry spectrum: pipeline, oil & gas, power utilities, mining, water/wastewater, forestry, and specialty chemicals. We require a proven track record of developing prospects into successful accounts on a Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
The ideal candidate is:
- An eager learner, capable of understanding the science of Satelytics and translating that into understandable language for our customers
- A team player who understands that other team members’ successes are success for all
- A self-starter capable of creating multiple entrance points at new customer companies
The position can be either on-site at our office in Perrysburg, Ohio or remotely, and reports to the Business Development Lead.

Job Duties
- Develop sales leads by researching industry needs by sector and searching for decision-makers to contact
- Use phone, email, and social media to reach out to prime sales leads
- Learn from sales leads' pain points and needs, then convey messaging required to convert sales leads into engaged sales prospects
- Provide weekly updates to business development team leader about progress made with various contacts
- Maintain a record of conversations to support corporate knowledge retention
Requirements
- 2-3 years sales experience with Software as a Service (SaaS),
-or-
3-5 years of experience in technical areas associated with our industry spectrum with a demonstrated ability to communicate - Understanding of SaaS concepts
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Satelytics' SaaS and its interface platforms
- Ability to listen to customers’ needs, then think on your feet to address those needs with benefits of Satelytics' SaaS
